Nederlandse Keramische Industrie (NKI)
The tile panel is manufactured by the Dutch Ceramic Industry, Nederlandse Keramische Industrie, (1955-2000) at Gouda. From the 1970's the N.K.I. specialized itself in printing decorations on tiles. The special thing about these tiles is that these are not made by a transfer, which was the usual method, but directly onto the tiles. All different shades of blue are then printed separately on each tile.
The letters of the factory name NKI form the crown in the company logo.
